Advancing The Profession
Professional Development
An excellent profession is built upon an exemplary system of professional development opportunities (PD) at every stage of the career path. Opportunities for PD lead to improvements in the knowledge, skills, practices of early childhood professionals and help to fulfill the vision of a profession recognized as vital – and one that performs a critical role in our society. As early childhood professionals, we must continually learn and change. Regardless of our role in early childhood, professional development provides us with important education and training to develop the skills and competencies that improve delivery of services.
Accreditation
Accreditation is a nationally recognized process that helps early childhood programs strengthen and demonstrate quality. Programs pursuing accreditation engage in continuous quality improvement to build safe, healthy, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environments for children and families.
Accreditation Mentorship Program
The Mtaeyc Accreditation Mentorship Program provides guidance and support for early childhood programs in Montana interested in pursuing national accreditation. Through mentorship, coaching, and individualized support, Mtaeyc helps programs navigate the accreditation process while strengthening program quality along the way.
